ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT

Accessibility at Brahmin

Last updated:
Scope: www.brahmin.com and associated mobile experiences

Brahmin is committed to providing an accessible and inclusive digital experience for all customers, including individuals with disabilities. Our goal is to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 AA and continue progressing toward WCAG 2.2 AA as standards evolve. Accessibility is an ongoing effort and core to how we design, build, and maintain our site.

This page reflects practices we actively maintain and review.

Our Standards & Approach

We design and test with accessibility in mind:

  • Standards: WCAG 2.1 AA (moving toward WCAG 2.2 AA).
  • Legal framework: We aim to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and other applicable federal and state civil rights laws. While there is presently no specific ADA regulation for private-sector websites, the U.S. Department of Justice has issued guidance stating that the ADA applies to web content provided by businesses open to the public, and DOJ has adopted WCAG-based requirements for government websites under Title II.
  • Testing methods: Keyboard-only navigation, semantic HTML and ARIA where appropriate, color contrast analysis, focus management and visible focus indicators, form labels and error messaging, and screen-reader verification (NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack).
  • Assistive technologies: We aim to support leading screen readers, magnifiers, voice recognition software, switch and keyboard-only navigation, and captioned media.
  • Design system: Components are built to be perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust (POUR).

What We’re Doing (Actions)

  • Regular accessibility reviews during design and development.
  • Periodic automated scans and manual audits.
  • Developer training and checklists to prevent regressions.
  • Prioritization process for fixing accessibility bugs.
  • Collaboration with accessibility specialists to validate improvements.

Ongoing Effort

Accessibility is not a one-time project. We continuously iterate as content, features, and technologies change.

Third-Party Content & Tools

Our site integrates with third-party platforms and services, including (but not limited to):

While we select vendors that state a commitment to accessibility, these services are developed and operated by third parties and are outside of our full control. Some components may not yet fully conform to WCAG at all times. If you encounter a barrier within any third-party widget or iframe on our site, please use the Need Assistance? options above. We will provide the information or service via an alternative method (for example, phone or email) and will work with the vendor to address the issue promptly. We also monitor and escalate accessibility issues with vendors and may implement interim alternatives where appropriate.

Compatibility & Technical Requirements

For the best experience, use the latest versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge. We strive to maintain compatibility with current desktop and mobile operating systems and assistive technologies commonly used with these browsers.

Feedback & Formal Complaints

We welcome your feedback. If you believe we are not meeting accessibility requirements, please contact us using the Need Assistance? options above. We take all feedback seriously and will respond as promptly as we can. If we cannot resolve your concern, we will provide information on additional avenues that may be available to you.

Brahmin strives to make its digital content accessible under Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and comparable state civil-rights laws (for example, California’s Unruh Civil Rights Act). We align our program with WCAG 2.1 AA and monitor evolving standards.

This statement communicates our commitment to accessibility and our processes for assisting customers. It is not legal advice and does not waive any legal rights or defenses.

Conformance Status (Transparency)

Brahmin’s intent is to meet WCAG 2.1 AA across our site. Because our site changes frequently and includes third-party components, some pages or features may not yet fully conform. Identified issues are tracked and remediated according to severity and user impact.

Statement Maintenance

This statement will be reviewed periodically and updated as we improve our accessibility program or as laws and standards evolve.

Note: This statement is intended to communicate Brahmin’s accessibility commitment. It does not waive legal rights or obligations and is not legal advice. Public statements are enforceable; we therefore strive to ensure this page accurately reflects our actual practices.

Allyant Review

Brahmin engages third-party accessibility professionals, Allyant (opens in a new tab), to conduct audits and provide guidance across our website and digital content. The Reviewed by Allyant for Accessibility badge displayed on this page signifies their independent review of our accessibility program.
