Our Standards & Approach
We design and test with accessibility in mind:
- Standards: WCAG 2.2 Level AA
- Legal framework: We aim to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and other applicable federal and state civil rights laws. While there is presently no specific ADA regulation for private-sector websites, the U.S. Department of Justice has issued guidance stating that the ADA applies to web content provided by businesses open to the public, and DOJ has adopted WCAG-based requirements for government websites under Title II.
- Testing methods: Keyboard-only navigation, semantic HTML and ARIA where appropriate, color contrast analysis, focus management and visible focus indicators, form labels and error messaging, and screen-reader verification (NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack).
- Assistive technologies: We aim to support leading screen readers, magnifiers, voice recognition software, switch and keyboard-only navigation, and captioned media.
- Design system: Components are built to be perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust (POUR).
What We’re Doing (Actions)
- Regular accessibility reviews during design and development.
- Periodic automated scans and manual audits.
- Developer training and checklists to prevent regressions.
- Prioritization process for fixing accessibility bugs.
- Collaboration with accessibility specialists to validate improvements.
Recent Accessibility Updates (WCAG-Aligned)
We are committed to providing a website that is accessible to individuals with disabilities and providing an inclusive experience for all users. This website substantially conforms with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA (and related best practices as standards evolve). We continuously implement accessibility enhancements intended to improve the usability of our website for individuals with disabilities and to support substantial conformance with WCAG 2.2 Level AA standards. These improvements are ongoing as content gets added to our website and may include updates that are completed, in progress, or scheduled for future release, including, without limitation:
- Keyboard accessibility & operability (WCAG 2.1.1, 2.1.2): improving keyboard-only access across interactive elements and key shopping flows.
- Focus visibility, order, and management (WCAG 2.4.3, 2.4.7): improving visible focus indicators and focus behavior for menus, drawers, modals, and overlays (including appropriate focus return).
- Navigation & bypass mechanisms (WCAG 2.4.1): improving the ability to bypass repeated blocks of content and navigate efficiently through page regions.
- Page structure, headings, and semantics (WCAG 1.3.1): improving heading hierarchy, landmarks, and semantic markup to better support assistive technologies.
- Link purpose & accessible names for controls (WCAG 2.4.4, 4.1.2): improving descriptive labels and accessible names/roles/states for buttons, icons, and interactive components (including filters, accordions, and carousels).
- Forms, validation, and transactional flows (WCAG 3.3.1–3.3.3): improving labels, instructions, error identification, and error messaging—particularly within account, checkout, and customer-facing forms.
- Search and predictive suggestions (WCAG 4.1.3, 1.3.1, 4.1.2): improving accessibility of search interactions, including how suggestions and results-related updates are communicated to assistive technology users.
- Non-text content and alternative text (WCAG 1.1.1): improving alternative text and text equivalents for meaningful images and functional icons, including product and marketing content where applicable.
- Color contrast and visual presentation (WCAG 1.4.3, 1.4.11): addressing contrast and readability issues for text, controls, and essential visual elements, including text displayed over imagery.

- Touch target and mobile usability improvements (WCAG 2.5.5 where applicable): improving usability of interactive controls on mobile devices, including sizing and spacing where appropriate.
- Third-party content and integrations: working with third-party providers to address accessibility issues within embedded or integrated experiences, to the extent such elements are within our control.
- Ongoing accessibility governance & training: maintaining a regular accessibility training program for teams involved in digital content, design, development, and customer-facing experiences, to reinforce WCAG-aligned best practices and prevent regressions as the site and content evolve.
Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and we regularly evaluate and remediate issues. While we strive to provide an accessible experience and to support WCAG 2.2 Level AA conformance, certain content, features, or functionality may not be available at all times due to factors including, but not limited to, third-party integrations that are not under our control, redirection to third-party sites, and ongoing site updates.
